James Wes Fannin, 71 years of Winchester, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Carter County, Kentucky on April 17, 1933 the son of the late Dewey and Sadie Masters Fannin.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. He worked as a school bus driver for Ohio Valley Schools and custodian for North Adams Elementary School.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Jewel Fannin, Lillian Stone, and Faye Dotson.
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Helen Brown Fannin of Winchester, son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Vicki Fannin of Winchester, daughters and son-in-law, Kathryn and Jim Henderson of Mt. Orab, Lisa Fannin of Winchester, three brothers, Ralph Fannin of Florida, Weldon Fannin of Waynesville, Ohio, Kinneth Fannin of North Carolina, five sisters, Irene Reynolds of Mansfield, Ohio, Hildreth Hollinger of Mansfield, Ohio, Janee Davis of Texas, Elizabeth Morris of Florida, Anneta Dotson of Orient, Ohio, three grandchildren, Sara Craig Crawford, Jonathan Fannin, Jared Fannin, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester with Charles Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home.
