James W. Ferrell, 83 years of Hillsboro, OH., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Jim was born January 19, 1941, in Hillsboro, the son of the late Willis Earl and Emma Louise (Miller) Ferrell. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Sue (Johnson) Ferrell on August 14, 2010; one son, Mark Ferrell; grandchild, Devine Ferrell; one sister, Kay McComas.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church, Past President of the Hillsboro Jaycees, Past President Hillsboro Lions Clubs, Founding Member of the Hillsboro Festival of the Bells, Troop Master of the Cub Scouts and Troop Master of the Boy Scouts and Committee Member of the Boy Scouts at Hillsboro Global Methodist Church..
He was a 1959 graduate of Hillsboro High School. Jim retired in 1993 from the Hillsboro Fire Department as a Captain after 25 years of service.
