James William Jim Keesee, Sr. 80 years of Latham, died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at the Bristol Convalescent Center in Waverly.
He was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on July 28, 1921 the son of Serpell Rouse and Ethel Nunn Keesee.
He was a former Miffin Township Trustee, US Army Veteran serving in WWII, Retired in 1984 after 31 years from the Goodyear Atomic Plant, member of the Merritt American Legion Post #142, Waverly, Pike Memorial VFW Post #2832 Piketon, Amvets Post #58 Waverly, Sinking Spring Lodge #365 F.&A.M., Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lola M. Keesee on May 29, 2000, one son Keith, one brother, Robert, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Imogene.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Dean and Jan Keesee of Pine Island, Fl, Bill Keesee of Murfreesboro, TN, Daron and Tina Keesee of Peebles, four daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Wirick of North Port, FL, Diane Keesee of Latham, OH, Shirley Keesee of Dallas, TX, Jane Hartsock of Waverly, OH, two brothers, Donald Keesee of San Antonio, TX, Serpell Keesee, Jr. of Brevard, NC, one sister, Loretta Porter of Seaman, OH, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Masonic and Scottish Rite Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 7:00
P.M. followed by Funeral Services with Pastor Mark Polley and Pastor Dave Stulley officiating at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Friends may call on Saturday evening from
4:00 till 7:00 P.M. at Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
Military graveside rites will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the East Cemetery by the Merritt American Legion Post #142, Waverly.
