James E. McCoppin, 80 years of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in Florida.
He was born in Rainsboro, Ohio on March 4, 1924 the son of the late Leslie and Ella Chaplin McCoppin.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M. of Hillsboro.
He was united in marriage on August 28, 1952 to Mary Lou Edwards McCoppin, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Shirley Collier of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Mark Collier and Ryan Collier, five great grandchildren, and brother George David McCoppin of Bonita Springs, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
