James T. "Jim" Palmer, Jr., Belfast Community died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Adams County on August 7, 1941 the son of James Thaddeus and Edna Ethel Maxwell Palmer, Sr. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Ed Palmer, Paul Palmer and Dale Palmer, one sister, Geneva Snider.
He was a Life Long Farmer, a member of the Farm Bureau and the Scioto County Milk Association.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Rebecca Gall; extended family, Roger Minner of Philadelphia, PA, Todd Minner of Philadelphia, PA, George Douglas Gall of Greenfield; two brothers, Ronald "Pete" Palmer of Seaman, Dean Palmer of Belfast; three sisters, Ilena Palmer of Belfast, Effie Behm of Belfast, Anna Graham of New Vienna; six grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home with Mick Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Coss Cemetery with Military Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
