James F. Potts, 69 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born August 6, 1939 in Ross County, OH., the son of the late Harvey S. and Nettie Lambert Potts. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margie M. Clark Potts on June 16, 2000, one daughter Marilyn Potts, step son Tony Rhoads, step daughter Bonnie Eversole, grandson Cody Deeter, two brothers David and Charles Potts, sister Dorothy Tener.
He his survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Betty J. Price, Marsha and Lester Deeter, Nancy Harperee all of Hillsboro, three step sons, Roger Tonya Rhoads of Seaman, OH., Walter Rhoads, Sr. of New Vienna, OH., Kenneth Marilyn Rhoads of Fremont, OH., three brothers, Eugene Potts of Philadelphia, PA., Russell Potts of Leesburg, OH., Ronald Potts of Newark, OH., two sisters, Bonnie Cooper of Hillsboro, OH., Louise Williamson of Carmel, OH., six grandchildren, David Carter, Jr., Shane Bruggeman, James Potts, Surina Potts Deeter, Joseph Potts Harperee, Patricia Ames, four great grandchildren, Aalyha Carter, Mikayla Carter, Blake Potts, Jacob Potts, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday September 8, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Rev. Wiley Perkins will officiate with burial to follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
