James H. Sexton

James Hubert Sexton, 89 years of Hillsboro went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
Jim was born on May 8, 1927 in Middletown, OH., the son of the late Clarence and Mamie (Snook) Sexton. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Betsy Shaw; two brothers, Jon Sexton and Wilson Sexton.
Jim enjoyed a career as a Tool Design Engineer. Upon retirement he and wife Jean went on to spend many happy years together spending time with family and restoring numerous homes in Highland County area.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Norma Jean (Wilkerson) Sexton; daughters, Jennifer Hoyer, Susan Freyhoff, Donna (Harry) George; sons, James A. Sexton and Benton (Darlene Sexton; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends to whom he has left countless fond memories of laughter, encouragement, advice, and love. Jim will always remain alive in the memories of those who loved, respected and treasured him.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Richard Burns will officiate will burial to follow in the Miami Cemetery at Corwin, OH. friends may call Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
