James R. ?Jim? Sexton, 59 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at his residence.
He was born May 15, 1948 at Kenova, W.VA., the son of Edna Bowling Sexton of Winchester, OH. and the late Allen Sexton. Jim was a devoted christian, husband and father to his wife Connie McClure Sexton who were united in marriage on July 24, 1970, four sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Sexton and Fiancee Jonette of Hillsboro, James and Traci Sexton of Lynchburg, Chad Sexton of Russellville, Travis Sexton of Hillsboro; one daughter Shannon Sexton of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Mae Bryant of Winchester, OH; five brothers, Paul Ray Sexton of Arizona, Don Sexton of Winchester, OH., Bill Sexton of KY., Ken Sexton of KY., Jerry Sexton of KY.; mother-in-law, Janet Burton of Hillsboro, OH.; father-in-law, Roger McClure of West Union, OH.
Jim retired from R&L Carriers where he was the local driver in the Hillsboro area. Member of the Freedom Fellowship Church. A Marine Veteran who served his country during the Viet-Nam Era. Member of the VFW Post 9094 in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Freedom Fellowship Church, 7451 Pea Ridge Road, Hillsboro, OH.
Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Jerry Fyffe will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Freedom Fellowship Church.
