James Franklin Smalley

James Franklin Smalley, Sr., 68 years of West Union, died Monday, April 29, 2002 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on April 6, 1934 the son of the late Sanford and America Burgett Smalley.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Smalley.
He is survived by three sons, Jim Smalley of Wilmington, Gary Smalley of West Union, Bobby Smalley of Sabina, four daughters, Marsha Smalley of Wilmington, Tonia Smalley of Wilmington, Melissa Taylor of West Union, Gaila Shelton of Manchester, two brothers, Bill Smalley of Peebles, Larry Smalley of Seaman, three sisters, JoAnn Johnson of Peebles, Sandy Moore of Peebles, Grace Davis of Peebles, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with John Whaley officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
