James C. Spargur, 76 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Highland County on September 8, 1936 the son of the late L.H. and Virginia Austin Spargur. Beside his Parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Morris.
He retired from The Producers Livestock Company after 50 years of service, being the auctioneer 1968 until his retirement in 2013. He sold Real Estate for Donald E. Fender Real Estate Company for several years and was a member of the Hillsboro AMVETS Post #61
He is survived by one son and daughter in law, James C. and Linda Spargur, Jr. of Hillsboro; one daughter and son in law, Brenda and Doug Peabody of Bainbridge;
three grandchildren, Ian Peabody, Felicity Peabody and Kaylee Arwood.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM till time of service at 7:30 PM
Memorial may be made to the Charity of Choice.
