James F. Spruance, a cherished husband, electrician, and Harley enthusiast, passed away on Friday April 26, 2024, in Hillsboro, Ohio, at the age of 79. Born on September 12, 1944, in Highland County. James led a life filled with love and adventure. With a passion for riding his Harley, spending time with his beloved grandchildren, and hitting the shooting range to practice his precision, James left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
James is preceded by his parents, Joseph and Edna (Garrison) Spruance and sister, Barbara Shelton.
James is survived by his adoring spouse, Diana (Hoover) Spruance, whom were married for 60 years, along with his children, Jason (Lisa) Spruance of West Chester and Kelli J. (Ric) Woosley of Bethel, grandchildren, Kodi, Gage, Marie and Lynae, brother, Duane Spruance of Hillsboro and sister, Dianne Tomlin of Wilmington, who will carry on his memory with love and gratitude. A man of action and dedication, James pursued an education and a career as an electrician with unmatched fervor, always striving to provide for his family and make the most of each day.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday May 4, 2024 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Bridges Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
James loved to dress casual and wear a Harley tshirt. Family and friends are invited to do the same for his services.
James Spruance will be dearly missed but remembered with joy and celebration for the way he lived his life to the fullest, embracing each moment with passion and zeal. May his memory continue to inspire those who knew him, and may his legacy endure through the stories shared by those who loved him.
