James Edward Stansberry Jr., 53 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday July 11, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Rhode Island on November 23, 1959, the son of Judith Burba Crowe of Hillsboro and the late Elbert Crowe. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brother Timothy M. Stansberry and his maternal grandparents Raymond and Francis Burba.
James was an employer at Airborne and was a member of F.O.E. Aerie #1161.
He is survived by his mother Judith Burba Crowe of Hillsboro, son David Jennifer Landis of Batavia, two daughters Tara Scott Colyer of Felicity and Stephanie Goddard of Hillsboro, brother Terry Stansberry of Panama city, FL, seven grandchildren Palmer Landis, Scotty, Madison and Quinton Colyer, Christian and Seth Goddard and Hayden Stansberry, special friend Joyce Staples of Mason and special aunt and uncle David and Myna Burba of Germantown, OH.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Monday July 15, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rhoads Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the Thompson Funeral Home.
