James L. Thompson

J. L. Thompson, 65 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday April 19, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Dayton.

J.L. was born in Hillsboro on June 25, 1955, the son of the late James R. and Marian (Wardlow) Thompson. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his daughter, Hope Thompson and brother, William "Bill" Thompson.

J. L. was a member of the Southside Praise and Worship Center, attended college at the Sinclair Community College in Dayton, served in the United States Army, was a member of the Highland County Honor Guard, VFW Post #9094 of Hillsboro. J.L. worked at Delphi in Dayton prior to his returning to Highland County. J.L. was the owner of Wings & Strings Gun & Archery in Hillsboro.

J.L. is survived by his wife, Diana (Stinson) Thompson, whom were married on December 14, 2001; daughter, Neteiea "Tia" (Jason) Trimbach of Oakwood, OH; grandchildren, Elli, Cooper, Savanna and Knox Trimbach.

Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday May 8, 2021 at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Peebles with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard. Pastor Mike Brown of Southside Praise and Worship Center will officiate.

Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Hillsboro are in charge of arrangements.
