James Wallace, 89 years of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Brown County, Ohio on August 3, 1919 the son of the late David and Elizabeth Wagner Wallace.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Wallace, who passed away in July 2007, three brothers, and two sisters.
James was a longtime member of the Countryside Church of Christ and a retired school bus driver for Adams County School District.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Rodney and Dawn Wallace of Peebles, daughter and son-in-law Janice and Ronald Davenport of Peebles, brother Wesley Wallace of Statesville, North Carolina, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Hannum Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
