James H. Ward, 76 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born March 28, 1928 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Clarence H. and Mozelle Vance Ward. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Montey Dwight Ward. Jim owned and operated Wards Flowers and Greenhouse in Hillsboro for many years, he was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church and the Highland Coon Hunter?s Association.
On September 21, 1946, he was united in marriage to Joyce Phillips Ward who survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James H. and Kathleen Ward, Jr. of Largo, Florida, Dr. John T. and Carol Ward of Cincinnati, Ohio; Six grandchildren, Angela Joan Procter, Amy Kathleen Breedlove, Adam John Ward, John T. Ward, Jr., Elizabeth Ward and Sarah Ward; Two great grandchildren, Caylee Anna Ward and Taylor Langley; One sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Jack Wilkin of Hillsboro.
