James Shelby Warner, 59 of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Highland District Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Edith and James Shelby Lairson.
Shelby attended Whiteoak High School, was in the Navy and, for several years, was an over the road semi-truck driver.
Surviving are his adoptive parents, Jon and Beverly Warner of Winchester, two daughters, Kim Warner of Hillsboro and Katherine Warner of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Tara Emrick and Ava Morris both of Hillsboro, Dexter and Benjamin Fehrer and Liam Heagy of Cincinnati; two sisters, Donna Olsen of Hillsboro and Melissa (John) Gillespie of Winchester; a niece, Cora Gillespie of Winchester; two nephews, Chad Gillespie of Winchester and Shaine Schmidtgesling and his amazing dog, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and James Shelby Lairson.
A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Living Springs Community Church (Mowrystown), 14 N High Street, Mowrystown, Ohio.
A Gathering of Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Living Springs Community Church.
Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
