Janet L. Powell, 60 years of New Vienna, died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at her residence.
She was born December 20, 1950 in Hillsboro, daughter of the late Beecher Howard and Alice Throckmorton Howard of Hillsboro. Beside her father, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Jim Fridley.
Beside her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Alice Powell Kidder of New Vienna, three grandchildren, Teghan Kidder, Wesley Kidder, Ryleigh Kidder, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Ralph Griffith of Hillsboro, Diane And Gary Barnett of Leesburg, Joyce Fridley of Hillsboro, two nephews, two nieces, two great nephews and one great niece.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the Hillsboro House of Worship, 8395 U.S. 62 North, Hillsboro.
Pastor Randy Hamilton will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro House of Worship.
The Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
