Janet Freda Walker, 62 years old of Hillsboro, died unexpectedly Friday , April 28, 2006 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born November 19, 1943 at Cadiz Junction, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harvey and Audrey Finnicum Maffitt.
Janet was a 1961 graduate of Jewett High School in Jewett, Ohio. She owned and operated JW Finishing and was currently employed at the Hillsboro Wal-Mart.
On August 16, 1963 she was united in marriage to Richard A. Walker who survives. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Richard A. and Kara Walker II of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Penny and Bill Polley of Greenfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Debra Madden, Jonathan Madden and Rye Walker; brother and sister-in-law Fred and Peg Maffitt of Jewitt, Ohio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nilah and Jay Ankrom of Carrollton, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio. Rev. Rodney Bowers will officiate. Cremation will follow services with inurnment of cremated remains in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday, April 30, 2006 from 2-6 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
