Janice Allen, 69 years of Seaman, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on March 3, 1940 the daughter of the late Hubert and Myrtle Lykins Shearer.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of fifty five years Gene Allen of Seaman, three sons and daughters-in-law; Junior and Louise Allen of Germantown, Kentucky, Rex and Marlene Allen of Seaman, and Terry Allen of West Carrollton, Ohio, four daughters and sons-in-law; Ruth Ann Tipton of Fairborn, Ohio, Ruby and Bob Blevins of Fairborn, Rhonda and Skip Ornduff of Carlisle, Ohio, and Rose and Steve Stevens of Waynesville, Ohio, eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Vester Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
