Jason Ryan Howard, 21 years of Wilmington, died Sunday.
He was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on May 11, 1983 the son of David W. Howard and Betsy Craig.
He was a 2001 graduate of Miami Trace High School and a 2003 graduate of Bradford College. He worked at Hood Packaging in Wilmington. He had a love for music and taught himself to play the keyboard and guitar. He was a very generous and kind hearted young man.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Diana K. Cherry, and one uncle, Robert Howard.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Betsy and Ray McGinnis of Hillsboro, father, David W. Howard, two brothers, Cody McGinnis of Hillsboro, Shawn McGinnis of Hillsboro, two sisters, Stephanie James Smith of Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Tasha Jared Steiner of Wilmington, grandparents, Talmadge P. Craig, Sr. of North Carolina, Juanita Craig of Orient, David D. Howard of Kentucky, aunts and uncles, Debra and Daniel Davis of Galloway, Ohio, Talmadge P. Craig, Jr. of North Carolina, DeWitt and Selena Craig of Orient, one niece, Kayla Steiner, four cousins, Nathan, Angie, Brian, and Heather, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Lloyd ?Red? Gallimore officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunn's Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
