Jay Amon Young, 87 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2023.
He was born in Peebles on November 17, 1935, the son of the late Ezra and Mabel (Amon) Young. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his brothers, Kay Young and Gary Young.
Jay served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
Jay is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Purdin) Young, sons, Sam (Brenda) Young of Winchester and Jerry (Lana) Young of Denver CO, daughter, Sarah (Ken) Kissling of Hillsboro, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sister, Jan (Tim) Gillespie of Tipp City,
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday October 2, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 1:00 PM until time of services on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
