Jayne Lambert, 79 years of Peebles, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on August 18, 1934 the daughter of the late Albert and Virginia Kiracofe Shafer.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Lambert.
Jayne attended Peebles United Methodist Church; she was also a teacher for Adams County Ohio Valley School District, a member of the Homemakers Club, and Night Bloomers Garden Club.
She is survived by one son, Marty Lambert of Hillsboro; one daughter, Karen Lambert of Peebles; one brother, Don Shafer of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles United Methodist Church with Steve Zinser officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
