Jean Apking, 90 years of the Sinking Spring Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024
Jean was born in Cincinnati on October 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Ernest and Faye (Sharp) Cain. Besides her parents, she is preceded by her husband, Daniel Raymond Apking and son, William Daniel "Bill" Apking.
Jean retired from GE Aircraft Engines, enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the Sinking Spring Community Church.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Riley of Ashland, KY, grandchildren, Dan (Erica) Wortman and Kerry (Nate) Allen, great grandchildren, Ava, Hudson and Raegan Wortman, Amelia Oliver and Evelyn Allen, sister Janet (Jerry) Koehne of West Chester, niece, nephews, several cousins and host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Sinking Spring Community Church. Burial will follow at the Cedar Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services on Saturday June 22, 2024 at the church.
