Jean Evelyn Lockard, 83 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County, Ohio on March 24, 1922 the daughter of the late Clifford and Flossie Irene Griffith Harris.
She was a member of the Northview Baptist Church. She retired from the Dietary Department at Highland District Hospital.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Kalb.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Lockard of Hillsboro, son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Carolyn Mathews of Bainbridge, daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Kastens of Cincinnati, Kathy and Gary Rhoads of Hillsboro, Bertha and Dwight Hamilton of Hillsboro, sister, Ellen Catron of Springfield, Ohio, ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Brother Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, C/O Nina Wharton, 930 North West Street, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
