Jerry L. McMillen, 66 years of Seaman, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Hospice of Dayton.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 21, 1937 the son of the late James S. and Ruth Rife McMillen.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church. He owned and operated Creations in Wood.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Gail Kennedy.
He was united in marriage on December 28, 1977 to Joyce Roades McMillen, who survives. Also surviving are his step mother, Elizabeth McMillen of Austin, Texas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Kelly McMillen of Dayton, Ben and Sarah Abernethy of Dayton, daughter, Rebecca Hackwell of Cincinnati, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Margaret McMillen of Kansas City, Missouri, Mike and Geri McMillen of Arizona, Robert and Eliza McMillen of California, sisters and brother-in-law, Lynn and Mike Hazelwood of Modesta, California, Dawn Star of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Beth Bennett of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Roberta Riley of Mimbres, New Mexico, and six grandchildren, Zachary Cripe, Makayla Cripe, Mackenzie Cripe, Wilson Mane, Nathan McMillen, and Samuel McMillen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Fincastle Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
