Jerry W. Phillips, Sr., 58 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman.
He was born in Hembre, Kentucky on September 25, 1949 the son of the late Jake T. and Ruby F. Lovins Phillips.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Leonard Phillips and one sister Mary.
He is survived by his wife Sue Marsh Phillips, son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Trista Phillips, Jr. of Peebles, daughters and sons-in-law Frances Metzger, Tammy and Doug Woodall, Patricia and Chris Brandenburg, and Jenny and Vance Meeks all of Felicity, Ohio, step sons and daughters-in-law Andy and Teresa Wood of Batavia and Chuck and Jennifer Wood of Peebles, step daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl and Jim Smith of Wilmington and Susan and Joshua Griffith of Seaman, brothers Leslie Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, and Billy Phillips, sisters Barbara Johnson, Linda Miller, Brenda McMillian, Betty, Phyllis, Judy, and Sandra Piening, twenty two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bob King officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
