Jim Newsom, 69 years of New Vienna, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at his residence.
He was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on April 14, 1935 the son of the late Harmon and Spicy Moore Newsom.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired as manager of Rich Oil Company in Hillsboro. He was a member of the Hillsboro Senior Citizens.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his ex-spouse, Daisy Faye Cleveland Damron of Corinth, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Wendy Newsom of Temple, Georgia, daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Gary Vadnais of Corinth, Texas, brother, Wellman Newsom of Tipp City, Ohio, sisters, Nova Osman of Pataskala, Ohio, Marevia Cregor of Wellston, Ohio, Octavia Clark of Kentucky, and four grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Newsom, Lance Matthew Vadnais, Cameron James Vadnais, and Colton Levi Vadnais.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
