Joan L. Shoemaker, 71 years of Peebles, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on July 22, 1936 the daughter of the late Clifton and Mabel Stout Chenoweth.
She was a member of the Night Bloomers Club and the A.A.R.P.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Shoemaker, brother Cliff Chenoweth and, sister June Hauke.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Donna Shoemaker of Peebles and Mike and Tonia Shoemaker of Peebles, daughter Patty Shoemaker of Makanda, Illinois, sister-in-law Susie Chenoweth of Peebles, several nieces, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
