John Barrett, 69 years of West Union, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on November 2, 1939 the son of the late Bennie and Jessie Young Barrett.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers.
He is survived by three sons; Bennie Barrett of Seaman, Johnny L. Barrett of Peebles, and Frankie Barrett of Seaman, three daughters; Evelyn Jones of Decatur, Cathy Rose of Dunkinsville, and Freda Smally of Kentucky, five sisters; Kathleen Maggard of Seaman, Jessie Faye Rice of Austin, Indiana, Betsy King of Austin, Indiana, Reba Holland of Austin, Indiana, and Lillie Barrett of Scotsburg, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation is to take place with no services scheduled at this time. The Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the family C/O Kathleen Maggard, 17571 State Route 247 Seaman, Ohio 45679.
