John Thomas Cox, 58 years of Chillicothe, passed away on Saturday September 17, 2016 at the OSU Medical Center.
He was born in Columbus on February 17, 1958, the son of Rev. Albert L. and Nancy (Nichols) Cox. John is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Patti Cox, nephew, David Hoskins and great niece, Shelby Hoskins.
John served in the United States Army and was a member of the Shriners Hillbillies.
Besides his parents, John is survived by his wife, Liz (Grimes) Cox, whom were married on July 31, 1976, two brothers, Rick (Eunice) Cox of Pittsburg and Leroy Cox of Cincinnati, two sisters, Barbara Baker of Miamisburg and Cindi (Ernie) Johnson of Chillicothe, mother-in-law, Verna Bowling of Chillicothe, brother-in-law, Brent Bowling of Dayton, sister-in-law, Denise Boone of Dayton and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Sinking Spring Community Church on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of service on Saturday at the Sinking Spring Community Church.
Donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children on behalf of the clan #8 Hillbillies. 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229.
