John W. Emery, 66 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, August 23, 2012.
John was born September 25, 1945 in Hillsboro, OH the son of the late Hugh W. and Mary B. Cox Emery. Beside his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister Ramona A. Emery.
John was a 1963 graduate of Belfast High School, member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, F.O.E. Aerie 1161 Hillsboro, AMVETS Post 61 Hillsboro, and retired from ODOT after 30 years of service.
On March 7, 1966 he was united in marriage to Patsy Ann Farmer Emery who survives; one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Mark Edenfield of Hillsboro; one son, Heath Emery of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Heath Edenfield, Grant Edenfield, Ethan Emery, Lacee Emery; one sister, Barbara Siders of Hillsboro; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Rev. Mick Parks will officiate with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
