John D. Fairley

John D. Fairley, 70 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday December 19, 2016 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born in Highland County on January 23, 1946, the son of the late Walter and Louise (Marcum) Fairley. Besides his parents, he was also preceded by three brothers, Jim, Ralph and Raymond Fairley and two sisters, Ruby Carter and Phyllis Fairley-Walker. John was a member of the Hillsboro Lions Club. John is survived by his wife, Linda (Hopkins) Fairley, whom were married on March 15, 1968, sister, Betty Beatty of Hillsboro, father-in-law, George Hopkins of Hillsboro, two sisters-in-laws, Roberta (Norman) Carmean of Hillsboro and Joan (Dale) Bayless of Hillsboro, two brothers-in-laws, Oscar (Diane) Hopkins of Hillsboro and Norman (Mary) Fent of Hillsboro and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday December 22, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
