John R. Fawley, 60 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
John was born January 29, 1946 in Hillsboro, the son of Robert and Martha Vance Fawley.
He was a member of the New Market Presbyterian Church, 36 year board member of the New Market Baptist Cemetery Association, from 1973-1990 worked for the American Laundry Machinery in Norwood, for the past 11 years worked for the Hillsboro City School System and was a lifelong farmer.
On November 2, 1974, John was united in marriage to Alma Jean Kaucher Fawley who survives. He is also survived by his mother Martha Fawley of Hillsboro, one daughter Kristi Fawley of Columbus, Ohio, one son Kevin Fawley of Hillsboro, brother and sister-in-law Tom and Kathy Fawley of Hillsboro, two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Katherine Slay of Covington, KY., Rose and Frank Sturgeon of Covington, KY., 5 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Wayne Emery will officiate with burial following in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
