John W. Goldsberry, 68 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati.
John was born February 22, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH., the son of the late James R. and Estellene (Brooks) Goldsberry, Sr.
John was a graduate of Milford High School, attended college and received his Associates Degree in Business. John retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Viet Nam War. He had a love for kids coaching baseball in the SWOL league. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a love for the outdoors and his farm.
He was united in marriage December 2, 1967 to Donna (Ramsey) Goldsberry who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law John and Trish Goldsberry of Vevay, IN.; two daughters and sons-in-law Tammy and Russell Zambo of Fairfield, OH., Valerie and Jeff Meyer of Hillsboro, OH.; six grandchildren Justin and Jeremy Zambo, Ashley and Seth Meyer, J.W. and Levi Goldsberry; one brother James Richard Goldsberry, Jr. of Graisonville, Maryland; one sister Barbara Stewart of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday December 23, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, OH with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
