John L. Malone, 81 years of Latham, died Friday, September 12, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on October 21, 1921 the son of the late Nathan Mack and Ethel Black Malone.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James Michael Malone, who passed away on June 9, 1965, and two brothers, Owney and an infant brother.
He was a lifelong farmer and an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was united in marriage on August 8, 1946 to Bernice Moon Malone, he is also survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Homer Lee Malone of Latham, Steve and Vernice Malone of Latham, daughter and son-in-law, Marylou and Andy Davis of Columbus, brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Ruth Malone of Latham, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Charles Miller of Deltona, Florida, and two grandchildren, Steve Malone of Latham, and Bradly Malone of Latham.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. John Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Washburn Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Waverly American Legion Post #142.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
