John L. Whitley, 71 years of Seaman, Ohio, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Adams County Hospital.
He was born in Greenup, Kentucky on August 9, 1934 the son of the late Walter and Ethel Jones Whitley.
John was a member of the Seaman Christian Church, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and a Veteran serving in the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Bradley Whitley of Seaman, Ohio. One brother Mike Whitley of Greenfield, Ohio, and four sisters Janice Cash of West Union, Ohio, Betty Adkins of Springfield, Ohio, Lillie Whitley of Greenfield, Ohio, and Sylvia Gates of Greenfield, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, Ohio with Clifton Barger, Amos Bolar, and Delmar Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
