John D. Wigginton

John D. Wigginton, 81 years of Hillsboro, died at his residence on Monday, April 19, 2010. He was born in Mt. Sterling, KY, on June 28, 1928, the son of the late Robert Lee and Eliza Ann Chandler Wigginton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Roy Kenneth Wigginton, Roy Clay Wigginton, Paul Allen Wigginton, and two sisters, Bertha Lee Black, and Nannie Pearl Stockdale. Mr. Wigginton is survived by his wife, Edith, whom he married on January 3, 1948, a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Robert Miller of Hillsboro, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reid M. and Betty Wigginton of Hillsboro, Marvin L. and Ann Wigginton, of Dayton, two grand daughters, Jennifer N and D. Scott Stout, of Springfield, MO, Amber M. and Sam D. McCoy, of Columbus, OH and six great grandchildren, Jonathan S. Stout, Kimberly N. Stout, Lauran D. Stout, Marissa A. Stout, Colin D. McCoy, and Madison A. McCoy.

Mr. Wigginton drove trucks for Oakdale Lumber Company for 16 years, and retired from Burger Iron Trucking after 19 years of service.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Lamb officiating. Friends may call at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church on Thursday, April 22, from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM at the Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH. The family requests memorials to Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church 8080 St. Rt. 124, Hillsboro. The Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
