Joseph E. Burgett

Joseph E. Burgett, 85 years of Peebles, died Monday, June 9, 2003 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on October 29, 1917 the son of the late Frank and Grace Hoop Burgett.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion. He worked for Buckeye Molding.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Beekman Burgett, who passed away on July 20, 1998, and sister, Louise Smalley.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Larry Wills of Jackson, Beverly and David Claytor of Waverly, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 4:30 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with David Wirth officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
