Joseph M. Frump, 89 years of Wilmington, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born May 9, 1923 in Clinton County, OH., the son of the late Ocie and Lorene Rogers Frump. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Crisenberg Frump on September 4, 2008; two brothers, David and Roger Frump.
Joe was a graduate of Fairfield High School, served his Country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Joe was in charge of the Hillsboro Water Treatment Plant for several years and retired from the Western Water Company in Morrow, OH. Joe was a volunteer Fireman for the Hillsboro Fire Department for many years, member of the Samantha Friends Church, and a member of the American Legion Post #49 in Wilmington.
Joe is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay and Bruce Fugate of Wilmington, OH.; two grandsons, David Fugate of Somerset, OH., Matthew Fugate of Kissimmee, FL.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Sue Frump of Washington C.H., OH., James and Mary Jane Frump of Lynchburg, OH.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Granger of Newark, OH., Eleanor and Ron Peabody of Springfield, OH., Joyce and Robert McKibben of New Vienna, OH.; one sister-in-law, Gerry Frump of Wilmington, OH.; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Samantha Friends Church.
Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery near Belfast with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Samantha Friends Church.
