Joseph Paul Judge McCormick, 102 years of Wilmington, formerly of Seaman, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Highland District Hospital, in Hillsboro.
He was born in Seaman, Ohio on June 30, 191906 the son of the late Enoch and Emma Matthews McCormick.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Troutman McCormick. Two daughters Jane Bennington and an infant daughter. Three brothers Frank McCormick, Jimmy McCormick, and Clarence McCormick. Three sisters Ella Cornelius, Sara Mae Butler, and Mary Kennedy.
Joseph was a 60 year member of the Seaman-Winchester Masonic Lodge #236, and a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati. He was a retired bricklayer from the A. P. Evland Company.
He is survived by one daughter & son-in-law Nedra & Ron Jandes of Hillsboro, OH. Four grandchildren Tim Maggie Bennington of OR, Cindy Marcou of Cincinnati, OH, Jeff Debbie Jandes of Clemmons, NC, and Joe Susan Jandes of West Carollton, OH. Six great grandchildren, five great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman, OH with Jeff Metzger officiating.
Burial will follow in Virginia Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel with Scottish Rite services prior to the services at 2:00 PM.
