Josie M. Farley, 80 years of Peebles, died Friday, September 21, 2007 at her residence.
She was born in Hinton, West Virginia on June 17, 1927 the daughter of the late William and Lonnie Grimmet Fox.
She was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church and worked for the Edgewood City Schools.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, JoAnne Cowgil.
She was united in marriage on February 5, 1955 to Denver Farley, who survives. She is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Denver Junie and Ramona Farley of Hamilton, Rick and Paula Farley of Franklin, two daughters and son-in-law, Mitzie and Paul Anders of Trenton, Rayetta Farley of Trenton, two brothers, Ernest Fox of Germantown, Roy Bennett of Middletown, five sisters, Madaline Meadows of Hinton, West Virginia, Lorene Collins of Middletown, Glenna Parker of Hinton, West Virginia, Helen Hall of Trenton, Irene Tincher of Greensboro, North Carolina, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Evergreen Baptist Church with Bud Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
