Jr. Burns, 84 years of Peebles, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Ohio Veterans Home.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on November 1, 1926 the son of the late Virgil and Irene Wheeling Burns, Sr.
Jr. attended Burns Chapel Church, he is a retired Army Veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Era, he was a member of the Peebles American Legion Post #594, and the D.A.V.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Teresa Freeman of West Union, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Richard Lloyd officiating. Military Rites will be given by the Adams County Honor Guard. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
