Judy Franklin

Judith Franklin, age 82 of Hillsboro, Ohio passed away on April 24, 2023, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born on June 29, 1940, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Norman and Phyllis Smith. She married John Franklin and together they raised two children, Melissa and Mitch. Judith was employed for many years at Southwest Urologist Office where she specialized in insurance and billing. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Judy was involved in many organizations such as Mothers Club and Eastern Star. In her spare time, she enjoyed announcing at the Highland County Fair horse shows and supporting her grandchildren in each one of their endeavors. Aside from that, she loved being at her farm surrounded by friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa and her husband, Brad Elmore; three grandchildren, Jordan (Chevy) Taylor, Gabrielle Elmore, and Brandon Elmore; one great granddaughter, Lynley Mae Taylor; one brother, Bruce (Linda) Smith; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; one son, Mitch Franklin; and one brother Steve Smith. There will be a visitation at Thompson Funeral Home, 241 East Main Street, Hillsboro, OH 45133 on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM; Eastern Star Service at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 10:30 AM with burial following in Hillsboro Cemetery.
