Karen Elizabeth Brewer, 79 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday February 20, 2023.
She was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 21, 1943, the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Archer) Uphoff. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her son, Kevin Carlson.
Karen was a member of the Living Hope Pentecostal Church.
Karen is survived by her husband, Gene Brewer, whom were married on February 24, 1985, sons, Scott Carlson and Derek Carlson, step-sons, Douglas Brewer and Warren Brewer, step-daughter, Rachelle Winfree, grandchildren, Rachael Carlson, Christopher Carlson and Brandon Carlson, step-grandchildren, Megan Rose Simicsac, Mellisa Bewley, Jason Brewer, Tyler Brewer, Regine and Devin Samples,15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, brother, Richard Uphoff , sisters, Kathryn Pederson and Mary Dean and family friend, Angie Sawyer.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday February 24, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 9:00 am until time of services on Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be 9:00 am Tuesday February 28, 2023 at the Dayton National Cemetery.
