Karen Sue Ferrell, 69 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Rodchester, Minnesota.
She was born at Wilmington, Ohio on February 25, 1941 the daughter of the late Frank E. and Laurel Timmons Johnson.
She was a member of the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church and had been the custodian with her husband Jim for 31 years, retiring this past a member of the Rocky Fork Decorative Artist Club, Highland County Quilt Club, Highland County Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her husband of forty nine years and four months, Jim Ferrell of Hillsboro, four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Tammy Ferrell of Leesburg, Mark Ferrell of Hillsboro, Jim and Karen Ferrell Jr., of Blacklick, Brian Farrell of Hillsboro, two brothers, Paul M. Johnson of Hillsboro, Frank Johnson of Columbus, one sister, Anita Graff of the Villages, Florida, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. Derek Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church.
