Karen E. Hester, 55 years of Hillsboro died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
She was born in Highland County, Ohio on May 21, 1951 the daughter of the late Randolph L. and Wilma J. Newman Lightner.
She was a member of the East Monroe United Methodist Church.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sterley O. Lightner and David S. Lightner.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Hester of Hillsboro, three sons, Robert L. Jason Price Hester of Leesburg, Randolph A. Samantha Hester of Leesburg, John B. Tammy Hester of Greenfield, two brothers, Paul Lightner of Greenfield, Dale Lightner of Craigsville, West Virginia, three sisters, Margaret Hatfield of Leesburg, Jane Eidiener of Leesburg, Alice Eidiener of Leesburg, seven grandchildren, Thorne, Lane, Tatijana, Kenzie, Logan, Leah, and Emily Hester, and three step grandchildren, Zach, Wesley and Hunter Rumer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Max Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the East Monroe United Methodist Church, 12524 Monroe Road, Leesburg, OH 45135.
