Kathleen E. Arey, 81 years of Seaman, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at her residence.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on August 25, 1922 the daughter of the late Rodney and Lulu Gordley Nichols.
She was a nurse at the Adams County Manor. She was a member of the Countryside Church of Christ, Adams County Senior Citizens, and Canasta Club.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Arey, who passed away on January 27, 1983, and daughter, June Arey.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Arey of Lawshe, Rodney and Raejean Arey of Winchester, Gary and Carolyn Arey of Peebles, daughters and son-in-law, Joan Alder of Cincinnati, Barb and Frank Myers of Peebles, brothers, Dale Nichols of Seaman, Bobby Nichols of Florida, sister, Juanita Ely of Williamsburg, sister-in-law, Olive Nichols, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ with Dan James officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
