Keith Anderson

Kelton Keith Anderson, 79 years of Cynthiana, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon.

He was born on May 16, 1926 near Bourneville, Ohio, the eldest child of the late George R. and Callie M. Valentine Anderson.

Keith graduated from Western High School in Latham in 1944, He was an Army Veteran of WWII where he was attached to General Douglas McArthur unit which was instrumental in creating the Filipino Army, He worked in the lumber business, running a sawmill for many years with his brother and sons often working with him. He taught his children the value of hard work and honesty.

In 1949, he married Joan R. Brewster with whom he had six children. They were married until 1974.

He is survived by six children, Mike Phyllis Anderson and Debbie John Anderson of Chillicothe, Doug Mary Ann and Brad Angie of Bainbridge, Steve of Jackson, Greg Kristie of Versailles, KY, one brother Eddie of Peebles, Sisters, Evelyn Humphries, Georgia Anderson, Darlene Mike Schreck all of Cynthiana, Naomi Junior Grooms of Latham. Fourteen grandchildren, Tyler, Chris, Nathan, Rebecca, Sara, Seth, Zac, Amy, Jay, Lauren, Gavin, Megan, Katie and Hope, two great grandchildren, Kelton and Brady,

Also by a very special friend Betty Hakes, who was also his caregiver for a year before he went into the nursing home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Lewis Viar officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lapperell Cemetery with Military Graveside rites..

Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
