Ken Jones, 82 years of Peebles, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on March 5, 1925 the son of the late Otto and Anna Matheny Jones.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Jones Barber Shop for over forty years. He was a member of the Peebles American Legion Thompson-Wallingford Post #594 and the VFW.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Pollock, and one brother, Jimmy Jones.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Anthony Ogden of Peebles, three brothers, Ralph, Bud, and Benny Jones of Peebles, four sisters, Mildred Apanel of New York, Ruby Caster of Loveland, Louise White of Peebles, Betty Morrison of Cherry Fork, three grandchildren, Nicole, Elizabeth, and Luke, and six great grandchildren, Xavier, Oakley, Hart, Coen, Remmington, and Season.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Jim Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacktown Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
