Kenneth Ray Etienne, 74 years old of Mt. Orab, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at his residence.
Kenneth was born in Mt. Orab on March 20, 1943, the oldest son of Norman and Margaret(Evans)Etienne. He was a 1961 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School. He served in the United States Army from June 13, 1961 to June 12, 1967 as a Specialist Technician in Lightweight Infantry. Kenneth retired from Emery Industries. He was a member of the Highland County Eagles #1661. He was actively involved with tractor pulls. He was a member of the "Semi-Modified Tractor Club." He enjoyed inspecting and weighing all tractors in the pulls. He was a team member of the "Mr Chevy" tractor group which he loved traveling to tractor pulls all over Ohio. He loved every minute of his tractor pull years and valued his friendships gained.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Norman(Margaret)Etienne as well as his sister, brother-in-law, and niece Helen(Odus)Pierson and Rachel Pierson.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Janet M.(Baker)Etienne, two brothers Charles (Deborah)Etienne, and John Etienne, children Kevin R.(Valerie Rhotes) Etienne, Heather M.(Michael)Blanton, Annjanette M.(Wayne)Howsan, Lugrace D. Faircloth, Georgene R. Patterson, Tryon C. Faircloth, Una L. (Henry) Hall, Suzanne(Becky)(Michael)Greene, 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on SaturdayJanuary 6, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial services will follow at the Harwood Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland Country Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. up until the service. Any food or flower donations can be dropped off at the Danville Church of Christ 4917 St. Rte. 138, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. Please join the family for fellowship after the services conclude at the church.
